What's so Great About Halo Headbands?
Since I have officially started my hardcore running season, I have set a few goals for myself.
- Run at least one marathon. I would like to run more if I can talk my mom into dog sitting for me to go out of town. :)
- Run at least a dozen 10K races...which is 2 more than last year.
- Run as many 5K races as i can just for fun, variety and speed!
- Tell as many people as i can about Halo Headbands!
My Experience
Look, I bought a Halo headband mid-summer last year and it was by far one of the best things I have ever bought. You do not have to be a runner either, they are perfect for walking, cycling and rollerblading too. If you sweat, you need a Halo headband!
My absolute pet peeve is sweat in my eyes. Nothing can be more aggravating to me then really getting into my run and my eyes start burning. So frustrating! Now, I have a ton of sweatbands, NONE of which have ever made me the least bit satisfied.
So, during one of my 10K races last summer on a broiling hot morning, I noticed that about one third of the runners were wearing these sweet looking, ultra thin Halo headbands so of course I had to ask a fellow runner what the deal was and of course i was skeptical over this little piece of cloth but I was willing to try it out.

Here Is What's So Great About Halo Headbands
Halo headbands are perfectly designed for the athlete to keep sweat and sunscreen out of your eyes as well as off your glasses while you train. They are made with a featherlight, comfortable and soft Sweat Block Technology with a water-tight seal that directs sweat away from the front of your face and off to the side of your head. There is a skinny strip of what looks and feels like rubber or soft plastic or something, not really sure what it is but it seals on your head.
Another fabulous thing about Halo headbands is that the pullover ones have no elastic so they do not squeeze your brain...yet they stay put!

Halo headbands are more than just headbands by the way! They also make visors and hats with the same features. And, there are winter hats for training in the cold. Another great feature is that these things are ultra thin so they are ideal to wear under helmets and hats. I happen to like running in the rain in the summer so my Halo headband fits under my visors and hats. However, now that I know how much I love them....I will be ordering myself a visor and a hat. OH, and they come in a ton of colors!
After you have one you will also notice how many athletes wear them including professional soccer players, beach volleyball players, marathon runners and even military personnel are known for wearing them under their hats. Seriously, you could even wear it just doing yard work on a hot day.

Totally cool - I tried this the other day running in FRONT of the scooter while Bob 'drove' the mals - maybe if I'd had one on, I would not be a basket of sore muscles and lost 1/2 inch in height. Ha ha - good info - I might put one on and do the bike instead, which I did today and it was AWESOME - I could actually keep up with them!
lol...maybe you could just put a saddle on Griffin and ride him! haha. I sit on Malachi when we are playing around and he doesn't even flinch. I think he would be content walking around with me on him. lol
Ah! I get to save a buck, the weather here is hot but so dry sweat evaporates as it surfaces. I wonder if dunking them in water how long they would stay wet to cool ones noggin from the heat of the day?
OOOOhhh...I think you're on to something! I wonder if you could wet it and then freeze it so its slushy and then as it thaws it would still direct the water away from your face??! that might be too cold on the head though. lol
This sound like a great thing to have. I don't bicycle as hard as I did when I was younger, but I'm still out there and could use a headband just the same.
They are SO handy! I was wearing mine yesterday doing yard work too. Keep the sweat away and keeps my hair from flying all around when I'm trying to work. lol
